Brec Bassinger Shows How Her 'Stargirl' Mask Was Made: 'So Claustrophobic' (Video)

OK, this does not look very fun.

Brec Bassinger, who plays the title character in the upcoming series Stargirl, took to Instagram on Friday (April 26) to reveal exactly how her mask was made for her costume.

“What it takes to become a super hero…” she captioned the time-lapse video.

She continued, “Also I 100% had a freak out at the end, this was so claustrophobic but I got a dope mask from it so 🤷🏼‍♀️.”

“They left two tiny holes by my nose,” Brec added in a comment.

Knight Squad actress Lilimar chimed in, “Woah!!!!”

Stargirl, based on the character from DC Comics, focuses on teenager Courtney Whitmore as she joins the Justice Society of America. It’s set to premiere next year.

Brec Bassinger is a full blown superhero!

Over the weekend, the 19-year-old actress shared the first look at her superhero persona for DC Universe’s upcoming Stargirl series.

“Supersuuuuuit ⭐️ First look… so excited #DCUstargirl Xo,” Brec captioned the pic.

Stargirl will center on Courtney’s (Bassinger) high school experience, which is derailed when her mother marries and moves the household from Los Angeles to bucolic Blue Valley in distant Nebraska.

Struggling to adapt, Courtney discovers her stepfather has a secret past as a superhero sidekick. She also discovers an artifact of immense power, a long-lost hero’s cosmic staff, and Courtney becomes the unlikely inspiration for an entirely new generation of superheroes.

The Fosters' Meg DeLacy Books 'StarGirl' Role with Jake Austin Walker

Meg DeLacy and Jake Austin Walker have joined DC Universe’s upcoming StarGirl series, Deadline reports.

The 22-year-old former Fosters actress is set to play Cindy Burman in the upcoming show, a second-generation menace.

“Cindy Burman is Blue Valley High’s most popular student… and its most feared. Secretly the daughter of Dragon King (Nelson Lee), a longtime enemy of the Justice Society of America, Cindy is determined to follow in her father’s footsteps,” the official description reads.

Jake‘s role in the movie is still keeping kept under wraps.

StarGirl, starring Brec Bassinger in the title role, follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past.
