'DC's Stargirl' Hopes To Introduce Green Lantern & More Justice Society of America Characters

'DC's Stargirl' Hopes To Introduce Green Lantern & More Justice Society of America Characters

DC’s Stargirl is hoping to bring some more DC Comics characters to the series!

In a recent interview, showrunner Geoff Johns shared that the little Easter eggs you see aren’t Easter eggs, but “pathways to new stories” for future seasons.

“We go deep into the lore because we love the lore,” he told ComicBook.com. “People want to say, ‘Oh look, an Easter egg of the pink pen or the green lantern’ but those aren’t Easter eggs. Those are pathways to new stories. And what those stories are, my hope is we get to continue to tell these stories with more seasons of the show. We’ll see. But everything leads somewhere. And so, there’s no throwaway. There’s nothing that’s a throwaway mention, there’s nothing that’s a throwaway prop, there’s nothing that’s a throwaway anything. It might not be something we get to immediately, but it’s something we have plans for.”

Some Justice Society of America characters they have alluded to so far are Green Lantern and Johnny Thunder, as well as The Flash. Maybe a crossover with Grant Gustin could come in a future season?

Brec Bassinger Dishes On Stunt Training For 'DC's Stargirl'

Brec Bassinger Dishes On Stunt Training For 'DC's Stargirl'

Brec Bassinger is opening up about the intense training she had to go through for her role as DC’s Stargirl!

The 20-year-old actress stars as the title character in the upcoming series, which premieres next week.

“I did have a background in gymnastics, as well as competitive cheerleading,” she told ComingSoon.net. “I went down to Atlanta, where we were filming, two weeks early, kind of for a ‘stunt training’ camp. We would split up the days between gymnastics, bow staff training and then combat training.

“The combat training and the gymnastics training, they were like, ‘Okay, you’re pretty good at that.’ The bow staff training on the other hand, I was NOT familiar with,” Brec continued. “It’s six feet tall, so it’s a lot taller than me. I’m only 5’2″ on a good day. We focused a lot on that, especially ’cause Courtney uses the staff primarily. My stunt double Kristina, she was absolutely amazing though, so I have to give a lot of props to her.”

Tune in to the series premiere of DC’s Stargirl on Tuesday (May 19) at 8/7c on The CW!
