The movie, based on the animated TV series, centers on small-town girl Jerrica (Aubrey Peeples) as she catapults from underground video sensation to global superstar.

Stefanie Scott is all smiles on the black carpet as she arrives at the 2015 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Issue Launch Party on Friday night (October 2) in Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old Jem & The Holograms stepped out for the bash along with her “GLG” video co-star Kelsey Chow and her boyfriend, William Moseley.

Awkward‘s Jillian Rose Reed, Molly Tarlov, Greer Grammer, Teen Wolf‘s Dylan Sprayberry, Ellery Sprayberry, Max and Charlie Carver, and Scream‘s Connor Weil also hit up the party with Mollee Gray, John De Luca, Michael J. Willett, Alessia Cara, Pierson Fode, Kendrick Sampson and Madison Davenport.

Just ahead of the Power Rangers franchise airing it’s 800th episode comes news from the upcoming movie from Lionsgate.

Variety reports that the film company has started its search for the young faces to portray the Red, Black, Green, Blue, Pink and Yellow rangers. Here’s who’s in the running:

Actors Daniel Zovatto, Ross Butler and Brian “Sene” Marc are testing for Zack, the Black Ranger.

KJ Apa, Austin Butler and Mitchell Hope are testing for Jason, the Red Ranger.

Meanwhile Stefanie Scott and former Lemonade Mouth actress Naomi Scott are up for the role Kimberley, the Pink Ranger.
