In a recent interview with USA Today, Robbie, 25, and Stephen, 32, open up about their shows.
“The show’s always been very much a journey from the character we meet in the pilot, which is almost a prisoner of war, a vigilante, to becoming the hero that we know, the Green Arrow,” Stephen shared about Oliver in Arrow. “Last year was about revenge and this year the city needs something very different. And his journey is a little bit more hopeful there. Concurrently, we’re watching his adventures on the island, where he’s getting darker and darker because he had to become more of an animal to survive. So, as he darkens there, hopefully he can regrow some of his humanity at home.”
Robbie added about The Tomorrow People, “All of these Tomorrow People come from a really damaged situation, because they all thought they were losing their minds. They were hearing people in their heads. My mom – I can’t tell her I have superpowers – still wants me on my medication. I’m good, but what reason does she have to believe me? I didn’t just wake up one morning and get better.”
Arrow airs @ 8PM and The Tomorrow People @ 9PM TONIGHT on The CW.

In the season premiere “City of Heroes”, John (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) travel to Lian Yu in search of Oliver (Stephen Amell) who left Starling City after The Undertaking.
Convinced to return home, Oliver finds that things are in worse shape than he thought – Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau) is preparing a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated, Thea (Willa Holland) refuses to visit Moira in jail, Roy (Colton Haynes) is trying to fill the void left by Arrow’s absence, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is working with the District Attorney’s office to take down the vigilante.
“City of Heroes” premieres Wednesday, October 9th @ 8PM ET/PT on the CW.
“WHOA!!! @grantgust got up here in a…” Stephen, 31, posted up on Twitter.
Grant added, “What up, Vancouver??? Let’s hang out for a couple weeks.”
In case you missed the big announcement, Grant will play The Flash/Barry Allen in the backdoor pilot and potential spinoff.
The character’s official description: Barry Allen is a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fan boy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow unaware that working with Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante.
In the video, Robbie coins the term “Amellsday” while Stephen just laughs. “It’s good right? Amell and Wednesday combined? It’s going to be Amell-tastic! Amell-arific! Lots of Amell adventure! Plenty of Amell excitement!”
