'Stranger Things' Creator Reveals How Eleven Was Supposed To Die in Season 1

Stranger Things fans were shook this week when it was revealed that Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, was actually supposed to die in the first season.

During a Q&A event at Chapman University, Ross Duffer explained that he had a plan for Eleven’s demise on the show.

“Maybe I shouldn’t say this because I like to pretend that it was all planned out, but it was originally pitched as a limited series,” he explains.

Ross adds, “So it was like, Eleven was gonna sacrifice herself and save the world and then that was gonna be it, because there was a moment where limited series were a big deal.”

The show would’ve been so much different — thankfully, Netflix wanted more and kept Eleven around.

The 'Stranger Things' Cast Watched 'High School Musical' on Halloween

The cast of Stranger Things did not have a typical Halloween this year!

Stars Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, and Noah Schnapp appeared on The Tonight Show last night (November 2) and told Jimmy Fallon all about their October 31 plans.

“We planned on watching a horror movie,” Gaten explained, adding that he grew up watching the HSM franchise with his sister and co do all of the harmonies without even trying.

As for Finn, he thought they would be watching horror movies that night — but couldn’t complain.

“I get a text from Gaten saying we’re gonna watch a bunch of scary movies and I show up and they’re watching High School Musical,” he said. But the movies shaped his life: he only plays basketball because of Zac Efron!
