Lindsey Morgan Makes Directorial Debut On Tonight's New Episode of 'The 100'

Lindsey Morgan Makes Directorial Debut On Tonight's New Episode of 'The 100'

Lindsey Morgan is marking her first time as a director tonight!

The 30-year-old actress is making her directorial debut with tonight’s (July 1) new episode of The 100.

In tonight’s episode, “The Queen’s Gambit”, Emori (Luisa d’Oliveira) tries to heal Sanctum’s old familial wounds while Echo (Tasya Teles), Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) and Diyoza (Ivana Milicevic) struggle with new ones.

Lindsey opened up about her first time directing.

“Directing felt a lot like sailing a ship, and you have your course and you know the weather and you planned everything and you brought snacks. You really plotted your trajectory,” she told EW. “And then you’re in the sea, and a storm comes, or a shark, or someone gets bitten by a jellyfish! And you just have to constantly adapt to the new situation at hand and adjust your sails to whatever comes.”

“With every episode and every film set, there are challenges or obstacles and for me, it was things I didn’t ever see coming, I didn’t plan for, but I’d have to adjust on the fly and adapt and try to make every new decision an opportunity to make the overall project better. But it was tough because I’m a planner, so I definitely had to work on my spontaneity and resourcefulness,” Lindsey added.

Eliza Taylor, Marie Avgeropoulos & More 'The 100' Stars Tease a Possible Spinoff

Eliza Taylor, Marie Avgeropoulos & More 'The 100' Stars Tease a Possible Spinoff

Eliza Taylor poses with her 100 costars Marie Avgeropoulos and Tasya Teles while attending 2019 WonderCon over the weekend in Anaheim, Calif.

The three actors were joined by showrunner Jason Rothenberg, plus co-stars Richard Harmon, Shannon Kook and Sachin Sahel.

During the panel, the stars teased a possible prequel spinoff that’s been talked about for a long time.

“I think I would want to see one where … the beginning of the spin-off is the first bomb going off,” Richard shared with the fans about a spinoff series. “And everything of like the people who become the Grounders, the people who survive, them dealing with kind of everything. I think that would be spin-off I’d want to see.”

Jason added, “We may be working on something. Can’t talk about it. I’ll probably get in trouble for saying that.”

'The 100' Cast Spills on Season 6 & Their New Planet: 'It's Going to Be Nuts'

'The 100' Cast Spills on Season 6 & Their New Planet: 'It's Going to Be Nuts'

Get excited for the new season of The 100!

The cast recently opened up to E! News about what fans can expect from the new planet in season six. Check out what they had to say below:

EP Jason Rothenberg: “It’s an Earth-like planet, we’ve seen it from space. It will pack many, many surprises, the creatures that we encounter are not things that would’ve been on Earth. You know, the threats and the mysteries, it’s just endless, you know, the sky’s literally the limit as far as what we can and hopefully will encounter. You know, it’s survivable to humans, so it has to have a certain…as Monty says it’s in the Goldilocks zone of binary star system. So we know there’s two stars, we know there’s water and land and trees based on what we’ve seen from space. The rest is going to be revealed, obviously, as they touch down in season six.”

Marie Avgeropoulos: “I had to read it about six times because it was very confusing. It’s very, very—it’s got so much sci-fi elements this season to the show…it’s really quite complicated.”

Richard Harmon: “The planet’s going to be nuts. It’s gonna look oddly Vancouver-like, but they did such an amazing job this year of actually being able to switch it up, kind of where we shoot, and show the difference, and that’s the lovely thing about shooting in Vancouver…The planet has a very interesting and cool look to it this season. I thought I was on the wrong set. This is still The 100, right?”
