Zac Efron lands at LAX Airport after a long flight on Friday (April 13) in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old The Lucky One actor flew in from Australia where he was busy promoting the new romantic flick.

“I didn’t feel like I was the type of guy to actually portray [a Marine] accurately. There was a lot I’d have to learn,” Zac told Men’s Health‘s May issue about playing a Marine in the movie.

“I could pick up almost anything. If you put it in front of me, I could always find a way to tackle it. I was never a natural at anything, but I could always outwork everybody,” Zac told the mag.

Taylor Schilling has officially been named as Zac Efron’s new love interest in the upcoming The Lucky One, according to THR.

Zac, 22, plays a Marine who’s survived three tours of duty in Iraq and attributes his good luck to a photograph he carried of a woman (Schilling) he doesn’t even know. When he returns to the States, he sets out to find her.

The role was originally marketed and sought after among young Hollywood. Abbie Cornish and Katie Cassidy were both said to audition for the role which ultimately went to Taylor.
