Tonight’s the premiere of The Bold Type season 3 and we could not be more excited!
“The New Normal” picks right after the heartbreak, romances and uncertainties from the season two finale in Paris. Now, Jane (Katie Stevens), Kat (Aisha Dee) and Sutton (Meghann Fahy) are back in New York City and dealing with the aftermath of some major decisions.
Scarlet Magazine brings in Patrick Duchand to run the digital branch, effectively knocking Jacqueline (Melora Hardin) down to only running the print magazine. Meanwhile, Jane has picked her guy, but is frustrated that a man is put in charge of a women’s magazine.
Kat struggles to keep up happy appearances on social media and as a speaker at the Scarlet Summit, while secretly suffering heartache, and Sutton and Richard enjoy their romance in the limelight and discuss moving in together.
The Bold Type premieres TONIGHT, Tuesday, April 9th @ 8PM ET/PT on Freeform.
Raise your hand if you’re still heartbroken over the fact that Kat and Adena ended their relationship at the end of season two of The Bold Type? Yep, us too.
“I know that people were very devastated with the end of season two, and obviously I was too,” she revealed to Mamamia. “I just cried and cried when I read that script, I kept saying to everyone ‘wait, where is this coming from, this makes no sense!’ because I just loved them as a couple.”
Aisha promises though that “Kat and Adena are not done. Season two is very much the middle of their story in my mind.”
Nikohl Boosheri added that Adena will very much be a part of the upcoming season.
“Look I don’t even know if I’m allowed to say this next part but, whatever, spoilers ahead! But this will not be the last you see of Adena, season three will very much be a new chapter for these characters.”
While they didn’t spill a lot, it seems like we have a lot left to look forward to with this couple.

The trailer also shows that a man has come in to lead digital at Scarlet, a woman’s magazine, and sorry, we’re not here for that.

It’s the last day of filming on season three of The Bold Type and Katie Stevens shared a gorgeous snap of the three main girls to commemorate the day.
“Last day of season 3!” the 25-year-old actress captioned the shot, which features Aisha Dee and Meghann Fahy. “I cant believe it!”
Katie continued, “141 days of shooting, late nights, early mornings and so many memories made. It was tough at times, but this Montreal crew became our family, and these two were my rocks. I love you so much @meghannfahy @aishtray! don’t know what I would do without you! 🤞🏻 for a season 4!”
