In next week’s episode “Fright Night,” When Carrie (Robb) is invited to a Halloween party in the city by Larissa (Freema Agyman), she decides to invite Walt (Brendan Dooling) to go with her to keep her company. It doesn’t take long before the night goes awry and Carrie is forced to babysit Larissa, who has clearly taken too many drugs. Walt finds himself in an uncomfortable position after a party guest gets a little too close for comfort.
Elsewhere, Maggie (Katie Findlay) convinces Mouse (Ellen Wong) to go with her to Sebastian’s (Austin Butler) Halloween party at the diner to help keep tabs on him. After Doritt’s (Stefania Owen) attempt to sneak out of the house is thwarted, she discovers hanging out with her father (Matt Letscher) isn’t so bad.

In this week’s episode “Read Before Use,” After Tom (Matt Letscher) forbids Carrie (Robb) to see Sebastian (Butler) again, Carrie snoops through Tom’s work files and uncovers some alarming information about Sebastian’s past. Carrie decides to confront Sebastian about what she’s discovered and is shocked by his reaction.
Meanwhile, Larissa (Freema Agyman) takes Carrie, Mouse (Ellen Wong) and Seth (Kyle Harris) to an outrageous performance art club in New York City, which leaves them all feeling self-conscious.

Austin Butler wraps his arms around on-screen love AnnaSophia Robb make out in the middle of the street while filming for The Carrie Diaries in New York City on Tuesday morning (January 22).
The twosome play Carrie and Sebastian in the new hit CW series.

While talking about adapting the book to television, Ms. Bushnellshared, “Books and TV series are apples and oranges. A book has a beginning, middle and end. TV series, ideally, you want to go on and on,” which “shapes a lot of decisions.”

In “Lie To Me,” New couple Carrie (Robb) and Sebastian (Butler) can’t seem to catch a break — between being grounded and rival Donna’s (Chloe Bridges) sneaky attempts to break them apart, Carrie worries Sebastian will lose interest in her. Desperate for some alone time with him, Carrie must lie to her father (Matt Letscher) and bail on plans with her sister Doritt (Stefania Owen).
Meanwhile, Maggie’s (Katie Findlay) obsession with having sex drives a wedge between her and Walt (Brendan Dooling) and Larissa (Freema Agyman) wants to do a photo shoot with Carrie’s purse for Interview magazine forcing Carrie to scramble to make it work.

It’s 1984, and life isn’t easy for 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb). Since their mother passed away, Carrie’s younger sister Dorritt (Stefania Owen) is more rebellious than ever, and their father Tom (Matt Letscher) is overwhelmed with the responsibility of suddenly having to care for two teenage girls on his own.
Carrie’s friends – sweet, geeky Mouse, snarky Maggie (Katie Findlay) and sensitive Walt (Brendan Dooling) – make life bearable, but a suburban life in Connecticut isn’t doing much to take her mind off her troubles.
Then, she meets Larissa (Freema Agyeman) and is whisked away by the bright lights of the Big Apple.
