The Disney princess you’ve probably never heard of may be coming back The Chronicles of Prydain remake.
Via Variety, Disney has acquired new movie rights to the Lloyd Alexander penned book series, which features five novels, “The Book of Three,” “The Black Cauldron,” “The Castle Llyr,” “Taran Wanderer” and “The High King.”
In 1985, Disney gave The Black Cauldron the animated treatment, which centered on Taran, an assistant pig-keeper but initially dreams of being a grand hero. Taran recruits Princess Eilonwy and a few other friends for a quest to find a dark magic item of ultimate power before a diabolical tyrant can.
No official word if Disney will make this a live-action movie, or keep it animated.
