'The Flash' Season 7 Premiere Date Delayed - Find Out Why!

'The Flash' Season 7 Premiere Date Delayed - Find Out Why!

The upcoming seventh season of The Flash has been pushed back.

The show will now debut on Tuesday, March 2nd at 8pm ET on The CW.

It was originally slated to premiere on February 23d, followed by the series premiere of Superman & Lois.

However, The CW decided to extend Superman & Lois and make it an event, with a 90 minute episode, followed by a half hour special called Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope. Watch their new season trailer here!

The first few episodes of season seven will wrap up what would have been the end of season six when production was shut down due to the pandemic.

Production hasn’t had an easy start on The Flash, as the start of filming was delayed back in October due to a back log of Coronavirus tests awaiting results. Production then shut down briefly due to a positive test.

Check out the only set photos we’ve seen so far, which feature Candice Patton and Victoria Park.

'The 100' Prequel Is Still In The Works, But Definitely Delayed

'The 100' Prequel Is Still In The Works, But Definitely Delayed

All hope is not lost on The 100 prequel!

CW’s Mark Pedowitz recently gave a new update on the potential series, which aired it’s backdoor pilot during the final season of The 100.

The 100 prequel is still in discussions at the studio level. I’d like to see it happen. I’m comfortable with where the prequel spinoff episode we did this past season,” he told THR. “It’s not a pilot; the earliest that would happen would be probably summer 2022, if that happens. We may end up deciding that we can’t put the pieces together and it won’t happen.”

So, The 100 prequel is not 100% moving forward, but it’s not not happening.

If you missed it, see what showrunner Jason Rothenberg shared back in October about what was going on with the prequel.

CW President Mark Pedowitz Reveals What Really Happened With 'Green Arrow & The Canaries'

We are getting some answers on why the Arrow spinoff Green Arrow & The Canaries didn’t move forward at The CW.

The network’s president Mark Pedowitz opened up about what really happened with the potential series.

“Timing. We couldn’t quite figure out a model similar to Stargirl and couldn’t quite get there,” he said, via THR. “We were hoping to have it start at HBO Max and take a second run on The CW, but we couldn’t figure out how to do it and couldn’t make it all work.”

In case you forgot, Stargirl actually first premiered on the DC Comics streaming service, and would then air the next day on The CW. Since, the show was picked up for season two at The CW and the DC streaming platform eventually folded into HBO Max.

If you missed it, the show, which would have starred Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy, was officially “passed on” last week.

Katherine expressed that she was definitely bummed about the news. See what she said!
