'The Perfectionists' Delivers Heartbreaking Emison Update

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists decided to drop a bombshell on fans last night – Alison and Emily are getting a divorce.

If you missed the episode, let us tell you what happened and shattered our hearts in the process.

The truth about Ali and Emily’s relationship came to light after Ali saw a pic of Emily with their twins on Instagram and noticed that Emily’s no longer wearing her ring.

“I convinced myself that I came here with a clean slate, that I could prove to Emily that I could live a trustworthy life, maybe win her back,” Alison shared while talking with Mona. “But I realize the truth is, it was just too hard to be there, close to her, knowing that we wouldn’t be together.”

Alison also gave Caitlin advice later on in the ep, while talking about the importance of telling the truth in every situation.

“I can’t in good conscience tell you to lie to somebody you love. A relationship is built on trust. I’ve been in your position, and I’ve lied. It ruined us, but keeping her safe was more important to me.”

Then, Alison signed the divorce papers Emily sent over, and took off her own ring. The reason for the split was that “this marriage is irrevocably broken.”

If you’re bawling buckets, we’ll join you!

Sydney Park & Graeme Thomas King Talk Caitlin & Jeremy's Relationship on 'The Perfectionists'

Sydney Park & Graeme Thomas King Talk Caitlin & Jeremy's Relationship on 'The Perfectionists'

We don’t know about you, but we’re completely in love with Caitlin and Jeremy on The Perfectionists – and so are their portrayers, Sydney Park and Graeme Thomas King.

The two chatted with Seventeen recently about the duo’s relationship and how it’s going to change over the course of the first season.

“Caitlin and Jeremy are such a cute little duo,” Sydney gushed. “I feel like they’re the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle-type of couple.”

She explains, “He’s a rocket scientist and he’s older so she learns from him in a way. He balances her out. But they’re really in love and he’s trying his best to kind of understand Caitlin. She’s keeping a lot of things from him to protect him, but she can’t hide much anymore so you’ll see their relationship kind of change and how it unfolds is cool and mysterious.”

Sydney continues, “They are both relieved, yet Caitlin is kind of closing him off in a way. She’s still guarded and she still doesn’t know how to feel. [Nolan's death] definitely affects their relationship, it’s all unexpected.”

Graeme adds that Jeremy is definitely happy that Nolan is gone from their lives: “I think he really hopes that [Nolan's power over Caitlin] is done and they can move on.”

The Perfectionists airs Wednesdays on Freeform.

Tyler Blackburn Would Be Open To Bringing Caleb Over To 'The Perfectionists'

While we’re all hoping that Aria, Hanna, Spencer and Emily will pop up one day on Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, there’s another OG PLL character that’s definitely wanting to pop up – Tyler Blackburn!

Speaking with TVLine, the 32-year-old actor, who played Caleb, opened up about that little mention of his character and Hanna on the new series last week

“I thought that was amazing,” Tyler shared. “Honestly, it made me think about where they are now and what they’re doing.”

He added, “Then I thought about what a cameo from Caleb would be like on The Perfectionists. What would his style be? Would he look older? …I’d be open.”

We’re game for this. Marlene King, make it happen, please!

Ashley Benson & Troian Bellisario Might Direct Possible 'Perfectionists' Season 2!

Ashley Benson & Troian Bellisario Might Direct Possible 'Perfectionists' Season 2!

Troian Bellisario and Ashley Benson might be directing during the next season of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists (if it happens), according to Sasha Pieterse!

Sasha opened up about how the original Pretty Little Liars cast might be involved in the new spin-off series with her during a recent interview with ET.

“I think Ashley and Troian are going to try to direct next season, which would be amazing, if we get a next season,” Sasha told the outlet, adding that the rest of the cast has been “really, really supportive. … We love to have whoever on the show, whoever wants to join us.”

Sasha also said that there would have been more original cast members involved in season one if it weren’t for everyone’s crazy schedules.

“You know what the biggest problem is? Which is the best problem to have in Hollywood? Scheduling,” she explained. “Everyone is so busy, which is such a blessing for everybody. I’m so happy for our cast and our crew. We’ve just always been supportive of each other… but that has been our biggest challenge is scheduling. Troian had a baby, she couldn’t direct our first season.”

Well, thanks to Mona VanderWaal’s phone call back to her friend Hanna on last night’s The Perfectionists episode, we got an answer!

“Hi, I’m so glad you picked up,” Mona told Hanna during the phone call. “No, I’m fine I just needed to hear a friend’s voice. How are you? How’s Caleb? How’s the baby?”

If you remember at the end of PLL, it was revealed that Hanna and Caleb were expecting after struggling to conceive.

Hanna also shared some surprising news with Mona, too.

“Wait, Hanna back up – what do you mean? Spencer and Toby eloped?” she asked her. “Are they registered somewhere? Of course I want to get them a gift.”

Spencer and Toby are married now!

Also, we need to actually know if they’re registered, so we can get them a gift as well.
