Ian Somerhalder looks intent as he answers questions at The Vampire Diaries convention held at the Rio Hotel & Casino on Saturday (April 13) in Las Vegas, Nev.

The 34-year-old actor was joined by his on-screen brother Paul Wesley.

“Vegas here I come! The Salvatore Bros and the Somerhalder Bros…” Ian tweeted beforehand.

He was recently chosen as Josie Maran Cosmetics‘ Model Citizen for 2013 for all his charitable work with his organization the Ian Somerhalder Foundation.

We have yet to see the face of the elusive, powerful Silas, but rest assured Vampire Diaries fans – the character has finally been cast!

According to EW, actor Scott Parks has landed the coveted role. He was last seen on the show Homeland.

It is still unknown as to whether we’ll see Silas take the form of any other characters. It was recently announced that Steven R. McQueen would be returning for at least one episode.

Get excited — Jeremy is coming back — or is he?

TVLine reports that Steven R. McQueen isn’t done with The Vampire Diaries just yet.

The return comes with a catch though and the network isn’t promising that it’s actually Steven returning. Confused? It could be Silas taking Jeremy’s form…just like he did Caroline and Alaric.

Jeremy was killed by Katherine in the Valentine’s Day episode of the hit CW series.

The race for the cure heated up during tonight’s (March 28) action-packed episode of The Vampire Diaries.

Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) were still on the hunt for Katherine and the cure, and found themselves meeting up with a very old friend.

Meanwhile, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) had a serious chat about the future, while Caroline (Candice Accola) helped Klaus (Joseph Morgan) with his sticky Silas situation.
