The Vamps Drop 'Just My Type' Teaser - Listen Now!

The Vamps Drop 'Just My Type' Teaser - Listen Now!

The Vamps are giving us life with the sneak peek of their new single, “Just My Type”.

The guys – Brad Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans – posted the teaser on social media this morning, just a few days ahead of the official release on Friday, June 15th.

In a recent interview, The Vamps opened up about expectations for their albums, and how proud they are of their music.

“I think the expectations were high,” Brad says. “The first single did well on Spotify and people realised it was a bit of a departure. To see the music being received so well was quite promising. It meant the rest of the album really followed on from that.”

He added, “It was received with the same kind of open arms that the fans had when we released the first record and that was special. We’d gone away for a year and written songs that were special to us – and, thankfully, they connected with the fans. That means a lot to us.”

The Vamps' James McVey Had To Stop Writing a Novel Due To Anxiety

Did you know that James McVey started writing a novel?!

The Vamps guitarist and singer opened up recently about the struggles he faced while writing a sci-fi book and why he had to ultimately stop.

“It was stressing me out more than giving me enjoyment,” he told The Sun. “I was struggling with being away a lot so I put it on hold.”

“We struggle to manage stress in life as it is, the small things that are relatively controllable we should try and reduce,” James added. “People assume artists don’t go through things and life is always great, so it’s good to see so many men – I can’t speak on behalf of women – talking about male mental health recently.”
