We can’t wait to watch Sofia Carson and Thomas Law in A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits TONIGHT on Disney Channel!
The film, which premiered on Freeform late last year, will hop over to Disney Channel for the long holiday weekend.
“I love Cinderella Story so much; and the opportunity to work with Michelle Johnson, who is such an amazing director,” Sofia recently told us about the role. “Tessa is a modern day Cinderella and as far as these stories go, she has a horrible, horrible step family.”
“Her stepmom is played by Jennifer Tilly, amazing Oscar nominee, who is absolutely hysterical,” Sofia added. “She’s made her life absolutely miserable, however, Tessa has this big dream of being a performer, a singer, to be on big stages. That is her fairy tale.”

In the flick, Thomas plays Reed, who is on the search for the perfect girl to play Cinderella in a play — the perfect girl being Tessa Golding’s (Carson).
When she wins the role, she has to juggle playing two different people, her spoiled family’s demands and her budding friendship with Reed all at the same time!

We’re only a few hours away from the premiere of A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits, which means we have to take a listen to the full soundtrack!
“In my experience of making movies, I’ve been really lucky that the movies I’ve been part of have had a big music part,” star Sofia Carson told us. “I tend to become closer to the character in the process of being in the recording studio and the dance studio when music is involved. I loved recording songs with Tessa.”
Sofia also chatted about the one track that means the most — “Why Don’t I?”
“I love ‘Why Don’t I?’ which is the anthem of the movie. You hear it quite a few times throughout the movie, and the first time you do, my character is in disguise for her first rehearsal in Cinderella.”
She adds, “She sings this song and even though she’s on stage and in front of a lot of people, it’s an intimate moment where she’s asking herself ‘why don’t I?’ and it’s the first time that she believes she can really do this and make her dreams come true. It’s an empowering song and it actually gave me chills when I heard it for the first time before I recorded it. The lyrics are so beautiful.”

The 22-year-old actress shared a ton of new pics with her co-stars on her Instagram, as they wrapped the last day of filming.
“This is my last day in the fairytale that has been #acinderellastory I have loved every moment, every second, every minute of being Tessa???? I will miss this with my whole heart. #acinderellastory,” Sofia captioned with one of the shots, before introducing her co-stars one by one.
Thomas Law, who plays Sofia’s prince, added on Twitter, “#Cinderellalive wraps today.I can’t speak highly enough about my time here with @SofiaCarson @Jtillathekilla2 @isthisdavidury Baie Dankie.”

The duo’s new project, which they’re filming in Cape Town, South Africa, was just announced — A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits!
Via THR, the fourth film in the popular franchise centers on Tessa Golden (Carson), who is forced to go on a vacation with her stepmother and her two stepsisters. But once at the posh resort, she realizes she is there only to serve the stepsisters as they compete for the lead roles in a Cinderella musical with an infamous pop star (Law).
A friendship with a makeup artist allows Tessa to take on a different identity so she too can audition. But the demands of her stepfamily, the pop star and the show may be too much to juggle.
Jennifer Tilly and Nicole Fortuin also star in the pic.
