We’re so excited about Tiffany Houghton‘s new holiday song called “Hello Sailor”!
The songstress chatted with us about the meaning behind the track and it will make you melt!
“I had a great grandfather that was in The Navy and I’ve always loved hearing the story about when he came home,” she tells us.
“My grandpa and his brother were on their way home from school and ran through the front door and their father, my great grandfather, wrapped them in a bear hug. They were so surprised because he had been reported missing in the war. It was quite the reunion.”
Tiffany teamed up with Nash Overstreet, with whom she wrote “Blame It On The Snow” with.
“The last time Nash (Overstreet) and I wrote a Christmas song, we made my favorite song I’ve ever put out! I love Christmas music. We had a fun time eating Christmas cookies and thinking of Navy puns. He is so talented,” Tiffany says.
Tiffany Houghton gives us total retro Mod vibes in these behind-the-scenes photos from her “I’m Gonna Love You” music video, given exclusively to JustJaredJr.com.
The 22-year-old singer just dropped the wanderlust video, so be sure to check it out now!
“This song is the butterflies,” Tiffany said. “It’s jumping off the cliff before you know anyone’s gonna catch you. It’s the delusional belief that the person you just met could be the love of your life.”

The singer opened up to Billboard about the theme of the video, going for a retro Mod feel.
“This cultural revolution of ‘mod’ became fascinating to me after I came across this Diary of a Mod Girl I found online from the ’60s,” she shared. “[Writer Tracey Dawn Wilmott] said that being a Mod was/is all about being different from the crowd.”
Tiffany adds about the track, “This song is the butterflies. It’s jumping off the cliff before you know anyone’s gonna catch you. It’s the delusional belief that the person you just met could be the love of your life.”
The song will be featured on Tiffany‘s upcoming LP, out next year.
Tiffany Houghton – I’m Gonna Love You [OFFICIAL VIDEO]
Tiffany Houghton just debuted her brand new single, “Catch Me If You Can”, which is rising fast on the Radio Disney charts.
The 22-year-old singer dished about the track, saying, “People stereotype you because it requires less work than actually getting to know you. I’ve heard so many times that I’m a fluffy, bubblegum Barbie princess…and sure, I’m a blonde-haired, blue-eyed American girl that wears a lot of pink – but there is so much more.”
Tiffany added, “Since I was 15 I’ve been developing my own brand, independent label and team. Consistent little efforts over a long period of time are what have brought me here. You gotta pound the pavement. You gotta be so good they can’t ignore you. The right ones get it.”
“Catch Me If You Can” is available NOW on iTunes. Watch the music video below!
