If you didn’t see, Lawson Bates‘ younger sister, Tori, just announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Bobby Smith.
During a Facebook chat with the couple and her parents, Lawson got shaded so hard after some questions (around the 12 minute mark) were coming in about his dating status and when he was getting engaged.
“It will probably be Lawson‘s turn when he stops writing all these break up songs,” mom Kelly Jo says.
Then, brother Isaiah, who was filming, pointed out that “He can’t get a girl”. LOL!
Kelly Jo adds, “Maybe if he started writing love songs, he’d have better luck.”

Congrats to Tori Bates and Bobby Smith — they’re engaged!
The Bringing Up Bates star said yes to longtime boyfriend, Bobby, after he popped the question during a super romantic proposal.
Bobby actually chose a beautiful picturesque scenic overlook full of waterfalls and rolling hills called Weisman’s View in North Carolina where he asked Tori to be his wife.
The couple are planning a winter wedding this year in Tennessee in December.
“We’ve been looking forward to this day for so long and it’s finally here – we’re engaged!” the couple shared with People. “The day could not have been more magical, and the moments we shared will never be forgotten.”
They added, “It’s feels like a dream, and our hearts are overflowing with excitement. Thank you for all of your love and support.”
