Later on, Paul and Torrey joined Ian Somerhalder for a convention at the Hotel Park Hyatt.
“Truth be told, I don’t think it’ll be too long,” exec producer Julie Plec told TVGuide about the Stefan/Silas storyline for the upcoming season.
She added, “I think that there’s more fun to be played with people learning quickly, but independently of the other so there’s a lot of good bait-and-switch Katherine-style stuff that could happen early in the season. And people that know Stefan well will be able to catch on pretty quickly I would hope.”

The twosome were in town for the BloodyNightCon Europe.
“We’ve become really good buddies,” Paul recently told Parade about his friendship with on-screen brother Ian Somerhalder. “I know every single thing about him on every possible level.”
He continued, “I’ve never done a television series for this long, and it’s kind of like the longest relationship you’ll ever have — other than my family and my wife. I feel like I know the good, the bad, the ugly, and the great about everyone in the cast — and they can say the same about me!”

The 28-year-old actress also stopped by the Cynthia Rowley Fall 2013 show later in the day.
“Now that we’ve worked together, I actually said to my publicist, ‘I wish I’d never said that!’” Torrey recently dished to Zap2It about working with husband actor Paul Wesley and the statement she made prior to sharing scenes with him on The Vampire Diaries.
She added, “I had such a great time working with him, and it was so amazing, I totally take back everything I said. We just have such a mutual respect for each other, and a similar work ethic.”

The 28-year-old Vampire Diaries actress has teamed up with the organization to tackle animal dissection.
“I didn’t think I had an option,” Torrey shared about her own experience in school. “Kids need to know they have the option—they don’t need to be subjected to this…You can do virtual dissection, which gives them just as much information as dissecting a real cat or frog.”
She adds, “You’ll feel so much more proud of yourself if you do stand up for what you believe…there’s nothing more valuable than your voice and your own opinions.”
