The Famous In Love actor said the former Pretty Little Liars actress has a long career ahead of her after she directed this week’s episode of his show.
“I am so excited for @famousinlovetv tonight. Not only did TROIAN BELLISARIO direct it, but this is also a standout episode for Jake Salt. He’s premiering Stealing Georgia and nerves are high. You will also see a vulnerable side of Jake that he hasn’t showed us until now,” he wrote.
“As for @sleepinthegardn, I can say with full confidence she has a long successful career in directing ahead of her. She had her work cut out for her on this one and she quite literally handled it like a seasoned pro. I think she may be the best director I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. We hope you come back Troian!” Charlie added.
Troian has directed episodes of PLL and Famous In Love, which are both are from creator/writer I. Marlene King.
Titled “Guess Who’s (Not) Coming to Sundance”, the episode focuses on Paige (Bella Thorne) and Jake (Charlie DePew), who continue to feel further apart as Jake and Billy (Claudia Lee) head to a film festival, while Paige stays in LA for a big interview and cover photo shoot.
Meanwhile, Jordan (Keith Powers) has to deal with the fallout from his recent revelation and Nina (Perrey Reeves) takes part in a bidding war for highly-wanted film script.

The support that the Pretty Little Liars cast has for one another is amazing – and it’s continuing with Troian Bellisario‘s sweet message about Keegan Allen‘s new book, “Hollywood”.
Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old actress wrote a touching message for Keegan and his newest book.
“I’m so proud of you @keeoone, so proud to see how your work grows and changes,” Troian starts. “So proud to see what an artist you are and feel lucky to have had front row seats for part of the journey.”
She continues, “I’ve always known that we are lucky to call @thisforeverland our hometown, but the way you capture its streets and the dreamers that walk along them make me appreciate it in a whole new way. Thank you for giving me a new lens through which to view something I thought I already knew. There is so much undiscovered beauty in this book. Thank you.”
Keegan‘s new book, “Hollywood”, is out everywhere today, April 24th.
We all know that Troian Bellisario has more talent in her pinky than we all do in our entire beings, so it’s not out of the question to hope that she’d step behind the camera one day for The Perfectionists.
While the show hasn’t actually been picked up, the pilot has been shot and Troian admitted that if asked, she’d definitely be in to direct.
“I know they already told me, which I would be delighted to do, ‘You can come and direct an episode,’” she shared with ET this week. “And I was like, ‘That would be so much fun!’”
“Oh, I don’t know…” Troian adds. “They have a whole new wonderful group of people working on The Perfectionists and I don’t know…if Ali and Mona are showing up in this world, I have no idea who else would show up.”
Troian Bellisario and husband, Patrick J. Adams, step out together for This Bar Saves Lives Press Launch Party held at Ysabel on Thursday afternoon (April 5) in West Hollywood, Calif.
The two actors and activists joined Ryan Devlin, Ravi Patel, Kristen Bell, and Todd Grinnell at the event.
If you don’t know, This Bar Saves Lives are all-natural, non-GMO snack bars; and for every bar you buy, the company also delivers a packet of life-saving food to a child in need.
Troian Bellisario is understandably not happy with some people who are illegally getting a hold of her new movie We Are Here.
The actress took to her Twitter to speak out against it, and call out those that are participating in the illegal acts.
“It makes me so sad when people take things you have created and put them up on the Internet. So many fans and supporters paid to see something and you are stealing from them,” she wrote.
“Yeah we are asking for it to be taken down. I’m just surprised because it was someone who had called themselves a fan. Piracy is a sad reality in this industry but I’m so grateful to those of you who supported us. Truly thank you,” Troian continued.
