In season two, Devi (Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school and drama at home, while also navigating new romantic relationships.
It was also just revealed that Common will be joining the cast as Dr. Chris Jackson, a suave and debonair dermatologist who works in Nalini’s (Jagannathan) building. His high-end practice and celebrity clients are impressive to everyone — except Nalini.

It was just announced that the 23-year-old actor will have a recurring role in the upcoming season.
“Hi @netflix. Good to see ya again ❤️ #NeverHaveIEver,” he shared on Instagram.
According to Deadline, Tyler will play Malcom, a “Young Hollywood” type, who “went to elementary school with Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and her friends but left when he was cast in a Disney Channel show. He’s recently returned to Sherman Oaks High whilst continuing his acting career.”
This marks Tyler‘s third run on Netflix, after having also starred on American Vandal and Orange Is The New Black.
Never Have I Ever recently won the People’s Choice Award for The Comedy Show of 2020, and creator Mindy Kalingteased that there is “so much planned for season two.”
