Tyler James Williams chats up his new show Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders during his appearance at AOL Build in New York City on Tuesday (April 19).
The 23-year-old actor also participated in a Facebook Live event at Facebook Media Central later on where he addressed the main reason he nabbed the role of Russ Montgomery.
Tyler actually refers to himself as “paranoid traveler,” and is afraid of getting kidnapped on the road. He says that he took on his role because it is an “educational” experience to prevent any danger.

In the Criminal Minds spin-off, Beyond Borders focuses on a division of the FBI that helps American citizens who find themselves in trouble internationally.

Tyler James Williams has a dance party with the ladies of The Real during his appearance which aired on Tuesday( April 14th) in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old actor opened up on the show about starring on Everybody Hates Chris, The Walking Dead and his music.
“Best advice…. Stay true to yourself. You know, I was like 13 when it happened,” Tyler explained about the advice Chris Rock gave him during Everybody Hates Chris.
He added, “Just stay true to what you do and who you are and you’ll always be fine. Don’t listen to what anybody else has to say.”

Christian Serratos and Alanna Masterson both look beautiful while supporting their series The Walking Dead at the 2015 Producers Guild of America Awards held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Saturday (January 24) in Los Angeles.
Other cast members from the smash hit television series at the event included Lauren Cohan, Sarah Wayne Callies, Scott Wilson, and Tyler James Williams.
The cast was in attendance to help support the show’s producer Gale Anne Hurd, who received the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Motion Pictures.
Ms. Hurd‘s film career includes the movies The Terminator, Aliens, Dante’s Peak, Armageddon, The Incredible Hulk, The Punisher, and much more. While accepting her award, she said that receiving the honor meant more to her than winning an Oscar would ever be.

Tyler James Williams suits up for the 2014 CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event held at the American Museum of Natural History on Tuesday night (November 18) in New York City.
The 22-year-old Walking Dead actor was joined by Annie‘s Quvenzhane Wallis to honor ordinary people who make a huge difference.
The top honor went to Pen Farthing of Great Britain, who will receive $100,000 for his efforts to reunite soldiers with the dogs and cats they left behind during combat.
CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute will air Sunday, December 7th at 8pm ET/PT.
The next day, Quvenzhane stepped out with her Annie co-star Rose Byrne at the United Nations 2014 Women’s Entrepreneurship Day.
