It was announced that the live comedy show, which featured live bands at the end of every ep, wouldn’t be returning for the fall on Friday.
Bridgit Mendler and her cast mates Brent Morin, Chris D’Elia, Ron Funches, Bianca Kajlich and Rick Glassman all took to Twitter after the news.
“This show was one of those top of the list life moments,” Bridgit wrote on Twitter. She added on Instagram later, “So grateful for my time with these freaks. They’ve given me so many laughs and far too many poop jokes #undateableforlife.”

Cue the tissues! Undateable has been cancelled by NBC after three seasons.
The show, which went to a live format for the past season, starred Bridgit Mendler, Brent Morin, Chris D’Elia, Ron Funches, Bianca Kajlich and Rick Glassman.
Undateable centered on pals Danny and his roommate, Justin. When he moves in, Danny ends up unintentionally adopting Justin’s ragtag group of awkward friends as well. Danny decides to put his skill to use and begins a mission to school them in the ways of romancing a date.
Justin (Brent Morin) got down on one knee in front of Candance (Bridgit Mendler) during the latest episode of Undateable Live!
She surprised him with a brand new red hairdo, while he surprised her with the Backstreet Boys singing “I Want It That Way.”
“When you meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you want it to start right away,” Justin said. “I love you. You’re the most beautiful person in the world…even with ridiculous red hair.”
Then he proposed! Watch the super sweet moment below!
In case you missed the live show on Friday night (October 30), here’s what happened on the ep:
Danny calls Justin out for romancing the crap out of Candace, after he sees Justin she has to pay the “hug toll” before she can leave the apartment.
Halloween costume roll call: Danny is a centaur, Shelly is Winnie the Pooh, Leslie is a sexy Steve Jobs, Brett is an ice-encrusted Captain of the Titanic, and Burski is a Jewish Wolverine. Justin plans to dress up as a bear and brings a Goldilocks costume for Candace.
After talking with Danny (and Justin overhearing), Candace realizes that communication is key in a relationship and that Justin needs to kill the lovey-dovey stuff.
While sitting at home, intending on passing out apples and toothbrushes to trick-or-treaters (what?!), Justin realizes he’s finally fallin in love with someone who wants him to be different from his true personality.
Back at the bar, Candace talks to Justin about all the romantic things he does for her and asks if he can tone it down. Just a bit.
He agrees, and as soon as she leaves, she’s back again. Just to tell him two things: a) to thank him for being cool about her demands, and b) that she loves him.
Meghan Trainor was the special musical guest and it looked like she had a thing for Pooh!
How cool is this? Undateable just got renewed for a LIVE season three!
Bridgit Mendler will return as Candace on the NBC show alongside Chris D’Elia, Brent Morin, David Fynn, Rick Glassman, Ron Funches and Bianca Kajlich for a LIVE season, THR reports.
Undateable, which centers on a group of friends’ dating trials and triumphs, is the only comedy to be renewed from NBC from it’s current lineup.
The show just aired it’s first live episode this week with special guests Ed Sheeran and Victoria Justice.
The show centers around mismatched roommates Danny Burton (Chris D’Elia) and Justin Kearney (Brent Morin), and their group of oddball friends who hang out at Justin’s unsuccessful bar.
Those include Danny’s sister, Leslie (Bianca Kajlich), Shelly (Ron Funches), Burski (Rick Glassman), Brett (David Fynn) and new waitress Candace (Mendler), who quickly becomes like a little sister to the gang.
They all spend most of their time at Justin’s bar, solving each other’s problems over beers. Even though they love to give each other a hard time, they always have each other’s back.
Don’t forget to tune into Undateable TOMORROW, Tuesday, March 17 @ 9PM on NBC!
