The 29-year-old pro dancer left a message for all of Team ValenRue‘s fans on Instagram with a cute drawing.
“Wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of the incredible fans of #TeamValenRue that supported us this season,” he wrote.
Val continued, “Every edit, every kind comment, every phone call and vote casted we appreciate it so so very much. It is incredibly humbling to know how many people genuinely wanted to see Rumer and I win. Means the world, today and forever. Love you guys very very much. Farewell. @ruelarue #dwts.”
Team ValenRue were crowned the winners and were thrown up on shoulders of fellow dancers immediately after!
“@iamvalc words cannot describe the the gratitude, love and appreciation I have for you and this incredible journey we have been on the past 3 months. Thank you for your courage, support, friendship, loyalty, humor, drive, passion, your unconditionally support and belief in me not only as a person but as a dancer. You are truly one of a kind and I am honored to call you my friend and partner. This has been the most incredible experience of my entire life and I wouldn’t want to share it with any one else but you. I am so proud of us. #teamValenrue,” Rumer wrote on Instagram just hours ahead of winning.
Val added afterwards, “Won’t forget this moment for a while.. we’re a good team kid, I’m proud of us ;)”

“I think Allison really brought that to the table,” Riker shared about his old school freestyle they performed. “The whole thing was trying to be traditional but come up with something new at the same time. Allison was so brilliant at that—keeping it traditional but adding our flair on top of it.”
Rumer added about dedicating her win to anyone who’s ever felt bullied.
“That’s who this mirror ball is for, honestly. It’s for everyone who ever felt like they weren’t good enough or felt like they couldn’t accomplish something because you can,” Rumer shared. “And even if you don’t feel like you’re beautiful every day or feel like you look right or you could do something, if you work hard and put your whole heart into it, you totally can.”
