The premiere date for the new season of Dancing With The Stars was just announced!
Season 28 of the popular reality competition show is set to return on Monday, September 16th @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC – and one pro is super excited – Val Chmerkovskiy!
“The show that gave me the stage I could’ve only dreamed of is back this fall and I cannot wait to get out there again,” he wrote on Instagram this week. “‘I like to dance, but I love to help’… and I cannot wait to do both on this awesome project I think a lot of us, at times, took for granted.”
Val continued, “To all our fans, get comfy on your couch Monday nights this fall, we’re coming over! :) #DWTS #imissedyall.”
The show took a long break after season 27 last year, where radio personality Bobby Bones and pro Sharna Burgess won the mirrored-ball trophy.
If you missed it, Val just recently married fellow pro and longtime love, Jenna Johnson.

The newlyweds flew to New York after their honeymoon to do the shoot for magazine Sophisticated Weddings. The shoot took place at the Pierre Hotel.

The magazine will release the third week of June and remain on sale through December 31st.

The newlywed couple celebrated their nuptials at the luxurious Sandals Grande St. Lucian Resort where they stayed in the Grande Rondoval Butler Suite that featured a veranda with a hammock, outdoor shower, jacuzzi and private plunge pool.
Jenna and Val enjoyed romantic candle light dinners, mud baths and tours of local waterfalls. They also surprised fellow resort guests at talent night where they showed off their amazing dance moves!
Val and Jenna got married earlier this month right next to the ocean, featuring a Dancing With The Stars filled guest list and wedding party.

Tons of dancers came to show their support for Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson as they walked down the aisle, including pro Alan Bernsten.
After the celebration, Alan took to his Instagram to joke about being single and share some cute solo photo booth pics.
“Another wedding, another photo booth alone 😂 congrats @dance10jenna and @valentin I love you both so much!” Alan captioned the pics, where he can be seen carrying a bouquet.
Alan was most recently linked to his DWTS partner Alexis Ren but the pair have gone their separate ways.

Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson are married!
The Dancing with the Stars pros tied the knot in front of 200 friends and family members on Saturday (April 13) at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palo Verdes, Calif.
The groom looked handsome in a black, velvet Brooks Brothers tux while the bride donned a Vera Wang gown for their big day.
Members of Jenna‘s bridal party included her former DWTS partner Adam Rippon along with dancing pro Lindsay Arnold. Val‘s brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy served as Best Man.
Guests at the wedding included DWTS pros Hayley Erbert, Witney Carson, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, and Brandon Armstrong. Also at the wedding were Nikki Bella and Alfonso Ribeiro as well as Val and Jenna’s former partners Rumer Willis, Joe Amabile, Normani Kordei, Laurie Hernandez, Ginger Zee, and Tamar Braxton.

Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy have us craving more after they both shared a short glimpse at fiery dance on Instagram.
The engaged couple showed off their amazing dance skills in the new video, and it will make you want to sign up for lessons asap.
“First time taking a lesson for myself with a partner in over 6 years. Going into it I felt intimidated, nervous, but immensely excited,” Jenna writes on her post of the vid. “We (ME) have a lot of work to do, but I left yesterday’s lesson drenched in sweat (mostly Val’s), sore everywhere, and hungry for so much MORE!!!!”
Jenna also hinted that she and Val were working towards a spot at Blackpool, which is the world’s first and most famous annual ballroom dance competition.
“I am so humbled to start this little journey together. I can’t believe I get to dance with this legend 🤤 He is so dreamy to watch and inspires me beyond belief. #blackpool2022 😜.”
Jenna and Val are set to marry later this year.
