The 27-year-old actress and her husband, Carlos, arrived to get to work on their performances for DWTS ahead of Halloween festivities with pro partners Mark Ballas and Witney Carson.
“Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas’s Edward Scissorhands-inspired Paso doble woke up the ballroom like a double shot of espresso,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba wrote in her Parade blog about the team’s Halloween inspired dance last week.
She added, “I loved the concept and the execution. Alexa is good in character, but what made her incredible last night was that she stopped thinking and just danced. There was a moment when she almost lost the choreography, but she didn’t give up. Instead, she dug deep and she used her physicality to push through the dance and wow, what a difference that made.”
FYI: Alexa is wearing Puma sneakers.
