Timothee Chalamet stars alongside Selena Gomez and Elle Fanning in the upcoming Woody Allen movie A Rainy Day in New York and the actor is now speaking out about working with the controversial filmmaker.
Allen was accused of sexually assaulting his own daughter Dylan Farrow and has continued to work in Hollywood without any repercussions. Now with the Time’s Up movement, people are calling out actors for continuing to support the director.
“This year has changed the way I see and feel about so many things; it has been a thrilling and, at times, enlightening education. I have, to this point, chosen projects from the perspective of a young actor trying to walk in the footsteps of more seasoned actors I admire. But I am learning that a good role isn’t the only criteria for accepting a job �that has become much clearer to me in the past few months, having witnessed the birth of a powerful movement intent on ending injustice, inequality and above all, silence,” Timothee wrote in his statement on Instagram.
“I have been asked in a few recent interviews about my decision to work on a film with Woody Allen last summer,” he added. “I’m not able to answer the question directly because of contractual obligations. But what I can say is this: I don’t want to profit from my work on the film, and to that end, I am going to donate my entire salary to three charities: TIME’S UP, The LGBT Center in New York, and RAINN. I want to be worthy of standing shoulder to shoulder with the brave artists who are fighting for all people to be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.”

Selena Gomez is headed back to the big screen!
The 25-year-old entertainer is joining Elle Fanning in famed director Woody Allen‘s upcoming film!
The film will also feature Call Me By Your Name‘s breakout star Timoth�e Chalamet.
Not much is known about the untitled flick, as its logline is being kept under wraps like most of Woody‘s films.
The film is set to be released by Amazon Studios, which Woody previously worked with on his film Cafe Society and Wonder Wheel.
Wonder Wheel is set to premiere on the closing night of the New York Film Festival and hit theaters on December 1st.
Kristen Stewart keeps her shades on as she exits her hotel on Wednesday (July 13) in New York City.
In a recent interview, the 26-year-old actress explained what it was like working with famed director Woody Allen.

“I thought, ‘He hates me! He absolutely is regretting his decision.’ But then, I was like, ‘I’m going to prove to this little dude that I can absolutely do this! Maybe I don’t have the demeanor that my character does, but I’ll do it when you f**ing call ‘action,’” she explained.
Kristen added, “That first day, he would come up to me and say things like, ‘You look terrible. You’re supposed to be pretty.’ But it’s not personal, and he’s not trying to offend. If anything, he knows that it’s funny. He’s not the type of person who likes actors who are totally up their own asses and have massive egos. I feel like it was almost a tool for him to go, ‘If they can take it, they’re cool. And if they can’t, then f**k it.’”

Kristen recently opened up about maintaining honesty and privacy at the same time.
“If somebody’s being honest with me, and there’s an honest, genuine question asked, I do not ever shy away from it,” Kristen told Buzzfeed. “I am drawn to it…So usually, when people find me to be, you know, maybe too preoccupied with my privacy? I’m not at all. In fact, I just have a pretty good gauge of when somebody’s asking an honest question, or an honest question without intention. So honesty with just ugly motives, I’m totally opposed to that.”

Amazing news – Kristen Stewart has been cast in Woody Allen‘s newest film!
The 25-year-old actress is not the only star cast in the film! Woody released the entire cast list in a press release earlier today.
Among those joining the star-studded cast include Jeannie Berlin, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Corey Stoll, Ken Stott and Bruce Willis. Co-stars are Anna Camp, Stephen Kunken, Sari Lennick and Paul Schneider.
The film will begin shooting later this month in both New York and Los Angeles, THR reports.
