Darci Lynne Farmer and her puppet, Edna Doorknocker, hit the press line together after stealing the show away from everyone on America’s Got Talent on Tuesday night (September 5).
Despite the constant judges’ praise and standing ovations at the Dolby Theatre for her performance, Darci Lynne still thinks that everything is unpredictable.
“Now it’s really unpredictable because it’s in America’s hands,” she shared in a recent interview. “And you never know: America could love you or could not like you at all.
However, Darci Lynne does admit that “winning would be amazing.”
Speaking with USA Today recently, Darci Lynne opened up about how she never thought she’d get a Golden Buzzer during her first audition.
“Well I knew that the judges gave out golden buzzers, but I really didn’t even I thought about it and I was like that would just be the most awesomest thing ever, but we just went with our expectations really low,” she says. “Like we really wanted the judges to say nice things and just to get four yeses but even better.”
And with her second performance done, the judges are still loving her.
“Everyone’s going to be talking about the end act, Darci, who is already on her way to being a star,” judge Simon Cowellshared afterwards. “You can feel it in the room.”
Yoli Mayor was undeniably the stand out on America’s Got Talent last night (July 25) — and she’s headed to the live shows!
The 21-year-old Miami born singer performed “Love On The Brain” and had the entire audience erupting in cheers. She was soooo good!
Yoli actually has an EP coming out this summer and JJJ is really excited about it. One of the tracks is called “Lay Here”.
“The song is about falling out of my first love and the sadness and the things you may not normally express,” Yoli told the Miami New Times.
She adds, “I am not afraid to talk about the part where you feel like you are going to die. I think that is the part that resonates the most with people. I cry when I sing this song, and so do many of my fans.”
After her EP drops (and a full album), she’ll actually be going on tour with Mexican singer Jos Jos on his 2018 tour.
