Brilliant scientist Stephen Hawking has offered a theory that Zayn Malik could very well still be part of 1D – in an alternate universe!
While giving a lecture over the weekend, he was asked, “What do you think is the cosmological effect of Zayn leaving One Direction and consequently breaking the hearts of millions of teenage girls across the world?”
“Finally, a question about something important,” he answered with a joke. “My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay close attention to the study of theoretical physics, because one day there may well be proof of multiple universes. It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another different universe,” Stephen answered. “And in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction.”
“This girl may like to know that in another possible universe,” the brilliant scientist added, “she and Zayn are happily married.”
“I’d like to thank my mum and dad for making me Asian,” the 22-year-old singer shared during his acceptance speech. “I’d also like to take this moment to thank four of the best guys that I ever met whilst being in the band and doing all the amazing things that I did. Some of the things that we did will stay with me for the rest of my life.”
“I kind of knew this was coming,” Simon Cowell recently shared about Zayn‘s departure from the band, adding, “He wasn’t happy and I was trying to say to him, ‘Look I think you should stay around a bit longer.’ And then something just in him said ‘I had enough,’ and then once the decision was made I dealt with it.”
“He’s a fantastic singer. Um, look, he’s got to get his head together a little bit,” the 55-year-old judge shared about the 22-year-old singer at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions in London. “He needs some time on his own, as he said, to be a normal 22-year-old, which he’s gonna have.”
Simon added about possibly signing Zayn as a solo artist, “I can’t give anything away.” Watch the video below!
If you weren’t aware, Simon has helped managed One Direction since 2010 after they were discovered on X Factor UK.
“It’s been a tough few weeks, probably the toughest since the band was formed five years ago,” Liam told The Sun (via People). “We’re gutted that Zayn chose to leave, but now after a few performances as a four piece, we’re feeling confident and are determined to carry on stronger than ever.”
Niall added, “”We’re looking forward to seeing all our fans on the tour this year. All we want to do is make them proud and return their faith in us with a brilliant tour and an amazing new album.”
Harry also opened up about working on the new record. “It’s very exciting to be working on our fifth album,” he said, with Louis adding, “All four of us are 100 percent committed to staying in One Direction and we want to thank the fans for being so incredible during this time.”
