Zayn Malik Reveals His Hopes for His New Music

Zayn Malik Reveals His Hopes for His New Music

Zayn Malik is looking so cool for his VMAN 38 cover story.

The 24-year-old entertainer talked about his new music, faith, and more with the mag. Here’s what he shared…

On what he would be doing if he wasn’t a famous singer: “I think about that quite a lot. I think about alternative realities. I think I’d be at university and I would have done my English degree. I think I’d be looking for some employment to do with English lecturing or literature. I love poetry and writing—obviously, I’m a songwriter—so, it would’ve been something that would still give me the feeling of a creative outlet within my writing.”

On what to expect from his new music: “I hope people get an insight to me as a person, because I’m not the most open book in terms of my personal life. I hope people get an understanding of where I’m coming from or what I’m thinking and what I’m going through, and feel closer to me through that. I just want my music to speak for me, and if it does that successfully, then I’m happy with what I achieve.”

On not revealing too much about himself and his faith religion: “My faith is between me and God, and whatever that God is, that’s between me and them. That’s where I draw the line: the specifics. I am a spiritual person and I do believe that everything happens for a reason, so I do have faith in something. I just don’t wish to specify what that is. I don’t want anybody to feel like I’m trying to dictate or wave my opinion on anything. I’m just doing what I’m doing. My religion, or whatever that is, is between me and God, and that’s just how I want to keep it.”

Simon Cowell Says One Direction Without Harry Styles 'Wouldn't Be the Same'

Simon Cowell Says One Direction Without Harry Styles 'Wouldn't Be the Same'

Is a One Direction without Harry Styles a possibility in the future?

Simon Cowell, who created the band back in 2010, says it’s definitely possible, but “it wouldn’t be the same.”

“You know, it’s fun being out there on your own, but what I hope is going to happen is that they remember now how much fun it was being in a group,” Simon told The Sun. “I always believe that you don’t make rules, you break the rules. So there’s nothing to stop them, if they want to, getting together for a tour, for an album.”

“I made it absolutely clear, obviously, ‘We’re in,’” he added.

Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry all went their separate ways and embarked on their own solo projects just over a year ago.

Louis has recently revealed the the guys are still his “best mates,” and in May, Harry said he “wouldn’t rule out” a reunion.

Louis Tomlinson Confirms That He & Zayn Malik Are 'Mates' Again in New Interview

Louis Tomlinson‘s mom, Johannah Deakin, wanted her son to repair his relationship with Zayn Malik so much so that it was one of her dying wishes.

In a new interview, Louis spoke out about how he followed through and met up with Zayn after her passing, effectively repairing the ex-bandmates’ strained relationship.

“We got back in touch with each other and kind of cleared the air and talked everything through,” the 25-year-old “Back to You” singer told Andy Cohen, “So we’re mates again, I suppose.”

Louis went on to say that he hopes they can be close again in the future.

“It was nice that we had an opportunity to clear the air and be adults about it.”

Did Perrie Edwards Change A 'Shout Out To My Ex' Lyric To Shade Gigi Hadid? Fans Think So!

Did Perrie Edwards Change A 'Shout Out To My Ex' Lyric To Shade Gigi Hadid? Fans Think So!

If you are a Little Mix fan, you know every lyric to every song they have ever performed — and some fans think that Perrie Edwards sneakingly changed one lyric in “Shout Out To My Ex”.

During a recent performance in New Zealand, fans picked up on a slight crack in Perrie‘s voice and instead of “Hope she ain’t faking it like I did”, the think that they might’ve heard “Hope she ain’t faking like Hadid” — shading Gigi Hadid.

But did she actually say that? Or are some fans just wanting to pick fights?

We doubt Perrie is going to comment on this at all, considering she’s been over her own Zayn Malik, who’s been dating Gigi for quite some time.

Plus, Perrie IS dating hunky footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Zayn Malik Reveals He Slept on the Floor for Six Months After Moving to LA (Video)

Did you know that Zayn Malik didn’t buy a bed for his new home for six months when he first moved to Los Angeles?

The former One Direction member discussed the decision during his behind-the-scenes video for his Vogue cover shoot.

“When I first moved in, I was sleeping on a mattress for about six months,” he told the mag. “I didn’t really want to do anything to it because I just liked the way it felt, like minimalistic, simple, there was really nothing to hold onto.”

“I’d just moved out of my London pad, which had a lot of stuff in it,” he added. “I thought, ‘I’ll stick just a poster on the walk and do, like, a collage.’ It was meant to be a little collage originally, and then I did the entire wall. And then I just kind of I went from there. I didn’t really have anything in the house except for this massive collaged wall.”

Zayn was spotted stepping out with friends on Wednesday (July 26) at The Dime in West Hollywood, Calif.

Louis Tomlinson Says One of His Mom's Dying Wishes Was For Him to Reach Out to Zayn

Louis Tomlinson Says One of His Mom's Dying Wishes Was For Him to Reach Out to Zayn

Former One Direction members Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik have been through so much together — and Louis‘ mom Johannah Deakin knew that.

Louis revealed in a new interview that one of his mother’s dying wishes before passing away from leukemia was to make up with Zayn, and we’re not crying, you’re crying.

“My mum said, ‘You’ve got to get back in contact with Zayn. Life’s too f-king short,’” the 25-year-old “Back to You” singer told The Sun. “My mum always knew what I was feeling and what I wanted.”

He followed her advice.

“I met up with him and it was nice,” he said.

In a recent interview, Louis confirmed that all of the One Direction members are still “best mates,” despite what the media may portray. We’re so glad that they were able to remember all that they’ve been through together, and that Louis had such a wonderful mother in his life.

Louis Tomlinson Says the One Direction Guys Are Still His 'Best Mates'

Former One Direction member Niall Horan spoke out recently about how the media tries to make the former band members out to be rivals, though they aren’t at all — and now Louis Tomlinson is reaffirming that statement.

“We were always five best mates on the road; it was real nice,” the 25-year-old “Back to You” singer said to Noisey in a new interview, “and as time went on, we all began to understand each other.”

He went on to say that though their are “often misconceptions,” the five (Louis, Niall, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Liam Payne) have managed to stay close.

“We’re all such good mates,” he continued, “If you look at the X Factor final, when I performed my song with Steve, all the boys came to support me, and I didn’t know until a couple of hours beforehand. It wasn’t one of those stupid f-king celebrity things where it’s like, ‘Let’s all get in a picture and put it on Instagram and show everyone that we’re best mates’ – we didn’t even put it online. There are always those little things that people don’t hear about.”

We’re so glad that they have all stayed close and continued to support one another, especially after so many years working together.
