The 24-year-old Emmy award actress is in talks to play Ronnie Spector in a movie about her life, Deadline reports.
Ronnie is a famous singer from the 60s group The Ronnettes and deals have just closed on her life rights and her book “Be My Baby.”
The Ronnettes are most famous for their song “Be My Baby.”
The biopic will be produced by Marc Platt, executive produced by Jonathan Greenfield and Ronnie Spector, and Zendaya will reportedly serve as a producer as well.
According to Deadline, “much the way that Aretha Franklin personally endorsed Jennifer Hudson to play her in the upcoming MGM biopic Respect, Spector chose Zendaya as the actress she wished to portray her in her early years.”
It was a big day for Zendaya and the Euphoria family at the 2020 Emmy Awards and now Jacob Elordi is speaking out to celebrate the moment!
The 23-year-old actor, who previously dated Zendaya after starring alongside her on the HBO series, wrote a congratulatory message on his Instagram Stories.
Jacob shared a photo of Zendaya as Rue and wrote, “Congratulations captain 🖤 @zendaya.”
He added, “Bravo 💜.”
Zendaya and Jacob first sparked dating rumors in the summer of 2019 when they were spotted on vacation together in Greece. They kept their relationship under the radar for nearly the full length of the time they dated.
After the awards show, Zendaya dished on her historic win – she’s the youngest to win the lead actress honor!
“It means so much to me,” she said, via Deadline. “Every single woman in that category I obviously admire immensely.”
“I don’t usually cry,” Zendaya added. “I got through it without letting it take over completely. It was obviously a very emotional moment and I still can’t believe it myself — it’s pretty crazy.”
Zendaya also took to her Instagram story to share a few words before going to bed.
“Still on cloud nine…so grateful, still speechless, to all my friends and family who have texted/tweeted/called etc. I promise I will get back to you tomorrow when I’ve wrapped my head around this amazing night, until then…gonna go to sleep and make sure this isn’t a dream,” she said.
The next morning, Zendaya wrote, “Still don’t really have any words….feeling so much love right now, thank you.”
The 17-year-old actress plays the 24-year-old’s younger sister on the show.
In a new video posted to Instagram, Storm can be seen watching the nominees being announced before the winner. She then screams and jumps up and down when Zendaya‘s name is called for the win.
“OMGGGGGGG CRYING IN THE CLUB 😭😭😭 CONGRATS @zendaya ✨💕,” she captioned the video.
“@Zendaya OMMMMMG I’M SO FREAKING PROUD,” Storm added on Twitter. “CONGRATS TO MY BIG SIS @Zendaya”

This is only the first look for tonight’s event, the 23-year-old Euphoria actress said, while showing off her glam dress on Instagram ahead of the official start of the show.
Twirling around in the video, Zendaya‘s dress is a plunging purple dress with a think cummerbund, from Christopher John Rogers.
“And so it begins…” Zendaya wrote on her Instagram Stories, adding that this is only look number one for her.
Previously, she shared that while the Television Academy wasn’t requiring anyone to truly dress up, she would be.
“I do want to dress up. I still want to have the experience,” she previously said about dressing up for the event. “It’ll be probably just my family over here, but I definitely want to pull a look and maybe just walk my living room carpet.”
Zendaya accessorized her look with Bulgari jewels and Christian Louboutin heels.
