Zendaya checks her phone as she arrives at the Dancing with the Stars studio for rehearsal on Wednesday afternoon (May 8) in Los Angeles.
Earlier in the week, the 16-year-old actress and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy scored the season’s first perfect score of 30 for their trio dance with pro Gleb Savchenko.
“I feel good. I feel like I work every week and I try to deliver a 10-worthy performance every time,” Z recently told E! News about the score. “I think that’s what I go for every week: to get those three 10′s, so just until it happened, I was waiting, but I was working hard. I want people to know that every week I work with the intention of getting them!”
The duo just earned the season’s first perfect score — 30 points for their trio dance with pro Gleb Savchenko on Monday night’s (May 6) Dancing With The Stars.
Zendaya and Val also took the dance floor together for a Foxtrot set to “Don’t Worry Be Happy” and earned 28/30 points.
This places them back on top of the leader board with a total of 58/60 points!

Princess Merida from Brave will officially join Disney Parks’ Princesses! Snow White, Aurora, Mulan, Belle, Tiana, Ariel, Cinderella, Jasmine, Pocahontas and Rapunzel will be on hand for her coronation ceremony on May 11th at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Zendaya is all smiles while leaving the studio for Dancing With The Stars practice on Thursday afternoon (May 2) in Los Angeles.
“Woke up to 2.5 million beautiful ZSWAGGERS, so blessed to have you all,” the 16-year-old Shake It Up actress tweeted that morning.
Zendaya‘s partner Val Chmerkovskiy recently opened up to Wet Paint about working with the actress and the challenges they face on the reality dancing competition show.
“I definitely feel like I have an advantage every season. I have a very positive, optimistic outlook on every partner that I have. Everyone holds certain talents and certain capabilities, and it’s my job to bring the best out of them,” Val shared in the interview.
“So do I have an advantage? Aly Raisman is an Olympic gymnast and Kellie Pickler is a singer with a lot of fans. I think everyone has an advantage on Dancing With the Stars. And I’m not trying to weasel my way out of the fact that Zendaya is an incredible dancer.”
“Jive & Argentine Tango this week! #DWTS,” Aly excitedly tweeted, ready to get started on the choreography.
She added later on, “That being said there are a million more nice comments, so I appreciate all the support over the past year. It’s been awesome! THANK YOU!”
