“I am the kind of person who really keeps emotions hidden, and I rely on my acting skills to cover up some of the frustrations and negative thoughts I may have. I have read mostly positive things on blogs, Twitter and various social media but sometimes the criticism can really get to me,” Zendaya recently wrote in her Access Hollywood blog.
She added, “One of the ones that frustrated me the most is people calling me a professional dancer. I am an actor, but I have never been paid to dance! I danced in a local hip hop troupe when I was 8 years old!! I am grateful for that experience but I can hardly call it a professional one!!”
Earlier in the day, Zendaya was seen auditioning a ton of dancers for her upcoming music video. Can’t wait to see who made the cut!

Earlier in the week, the 16-year-old actress and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy scored the season’s first perfect score of 30 for their trio dance with pro Gleb Savchenko.
“I feel good. I feel like I work every week and I try to deliver a 10-worthy performance every time,” Z recently told E! News about the score. “I think that’s what I go for every week: to get those three 10′s, so just until it happened, I was waiting, but I was working hard. I want people to know that every week I work with the intention of getting them!”
The duo just earned the season’s first perfect score — 30 points for their trio dance with pro Gleb Savchenko on Monday night’s (May 6) Dancing With The Stars.
Zendaya and Val also took the dance floor together for a Foxtrot set to “Don’t Worry Be Happy” and earned 28/30 points.
