Emma Watson laughs alongside mouse Despereaux in a navy William Tempest dress at the premiere of her new animated movie, The Tale of Despereaux, at the Archlight Hollywood Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.
The 18-year-old starlet recently sat down with MTV and dished on Despereaux, Harry Potter and co-star Daniel Radcliffe. Emma shared that she loves playing the princess: “I read the script, and I just loved it. It was so charming. I fell in love with Despereaux, so I really didn’t have a choice. I had to be his princess.”
She was also surprised to find out that her co-star Matthew Broderick was in The Lion King. She said shockingly, “No way! I did not realize that [he was Simba]! I knew he was amazing anyway, but I did not realize he did The Lion King. That is awesome. I have a whole newfound respect. I’m now even more in love with him.”
