Jennette McCurdy: 'It's a Dream Big War!'

Jennette McCurdy must’ve had too much fun at the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards, because she got sick right after!

But have no fear, the 16-year-old iCarly actress recovered quickly. She wrote on her official website, “As many of you know, Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards were on March 28th. Let me just start off by saying that I have watched the KCA’s since I was 2 years old. I always watched with my older brothers and the KCAs have been a big, annual, family event for us! So to be there and have iCarly win an award, and to stand on the stage looking out at all those smiling, screaming faces, I thought, ‘Now that’s dreaming big, and the feeling of a big dream coming true.’ Look to the last paragraph for another mention of this dreaming big talk.”

iCarly won for best TV SHOW!!!!!!!!! WOOTWOOT!!!!!! Thanks to all of you who went online and voted for iCarly. Your votes were much, MUCH appreciated by the whole cast and crew! Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson presented the award… COME ON, CAN YOU THINK OF ANY TWO COOLER PRESENTERS?!?! They were absolutely hilarious! Owen Wilson was quite dreamy… his eyes had this spectacular twinkle about them. And Ben Stiller was my very first celebrity crush from way back when I was about 6, so it was a big deal meeting him…. I remember thinking I was so sly and cool when I would ask my mom to see Mystery Men again and again, or when I would gingerly slide Ben Stiller film after Ben Stiller film into the VCR so I could sit and watch his every move. So then, on the ride home, my mom goes, ‘Well that must’ve been awesome meeting Ben Stiller, since he was your first celebrity crush and all.’ My eyes widened and I was thinking, ‘WHAT?!?!’ I never knew my mom knew that I had a crush on him! Ha! Goes to show ya, nothin’ gets past mama…

“Anyways, KCA’s were a blast! The pre-parties on Friday night were tons of fun! I went to all three with Ashley (Argota). We just stayed at each one for about twenty minutes and then moved onto the next. By the end of the night, we were covered in light-up necklaces, rings, and sunglasses. I have some hilarious pics of that! Oh Ashley. And then the big ole after-party on Saturday night was fun as well! It was great meeting all of the kids – as always!

“Ok, so ‘dreaming big’. Matt Shively – aka Ryan on True Jackson VP – challenged me (on YouTube) to a ‘dream BIG’ war! It came outta nowhere; I had no idea he was gonna do that! Just so you guys know, me be all about spreadin’ love, not hate! This is a friendly war. Matt‘s a friend of mine! BUT, since he challenged me, I WILL take the challenge.”
