Track By Track with Jesse McCartney: SHAKE

Jesse McCartney‘s opening line during our interview a couple weeks ago? “When’s your birthday?”

After finding out the specific date, the 23-year-old musician proceeded to dig through his huge “The Secret Language of Birthdays: Personology Profiles for Each Day of the Year” book and tell us what was going to happen and did happen during our lives. JJJ will admit that was a great icebreaker!

Then we got down to business and asked him to break each track down for us, one-by-one and he did. First song up: first single, “Shake.”

Jesse shared about this track, “‘Shake’ is the first single, and most reminiscent of my last album, Departure. It’s a record I did with two writers who work under Dr. Luke‘s camp and we wrote it in a matter of hours. ‘Shake’ can mean whatever you want it to mean. It’s a pretty loose term (laughs).”
