Callan McAuliffe: I Killed Them All in 'I Am Number Four'

Callan McAuliffe steps out at the BAFTA Los Angeles Awards Season Tea in Association with The Four Seasons and Bombay Sapphire at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (January 15).

The 15-year-old Aussie import recently chatted with JJJ about his role in I Am Number Four. Check it:

On his character, Sam: “He starts off as sorta of a nerdy kid and everyone bullies him because his dad is really into aliens therefore he’s really into aliens so he gets shit everyday about that. When he meets John, who’s played by Alex, he finds out eventually that he’s an alien and he becomes really cool or he thinks he’s really cool.”

On getting to shoot a gun in the movie: “Yeah. I killed them all. That was loads of fun. I was really looking forward to that the entire time and I actually got to shoot and I shot blanks. Huge explosions, fires and smoke. Then they had someone on the other end with spark plugs on his chest. He exploded when I shot him. So it was really cool.”

On not being the biggest fan of “Twilight”: “I read the first book and I then I had to stop. Same with the movie. So I was happier for it to stand alone. But yeah, I can’t really think of anything.”
