The Wanted Take Over America

The Wanted wave their arms around on top of the Empire State Building in New York City earlier this week.

The guys — Tom Parker, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes — got a personal tour of the skyscraper’s 86th floor Observatory and 103rd floor parapet.

“It does feel very nice, and we didn’t know if we came over here that America would like it because as much as we don’t try to be perfect all the time,” Jay shared in a recent interview with the BBC (via Belfast Telegraph). “We knew that America had an idea of boy bands and they might have expected ‘N Sync and nothing else.”

He added, “The radio and everyone else, we have to thank them because they’ve accepted us with open arms.”

Tom, Max, Siva, Jay and Nathan also stopped by the Tommy Hilfiger Fifth Avenue shop and performed on Fuse in NYC before heading out to Los Angeles to perform at The Grove on Thursday afternoon (April 26).
