Quvenzhane Wallis: First Day on 'Annie'!

Quvenzhane Wallis heads to the set of Annie in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (September 24).

The 10-year-old actress was joined by a few other co-stars in costume for the first day of shooting.

“First day of shooting and it went great. I had so much fun with everybody,” Quvenzhane tweeted.

An updated version of the 1982 film, Annie was set during the Great Depression, and told the story of the mischievous orphan from New York City who is taken in by America’s richest billionaire Oliver Warbucks.

The movie, slated for a holiday 2014 release, will be produced by Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Jay-Z.
