Gracie Gold Surprised by Prom Asker Dyer Pettijohn on 'Extra' Set

Dyer Pettijohn gets down on one knee to surprise Olympian Gracie Gold while on the set of Extra in Universal City, Calif., on Wednesday afternoon (February 26).

The Southern California high school student asked Gracie, 18, to the prom with a fun video after she competed in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Gracie finished 4th overall in the Ladie’s competition and won a Bronze medal in the team event.

“You melted my heart,” Dyer told Gracie upon meeting her. “Can I get a hug?”

And after Dyer asked Gracie in person to go to the prom, she replied: “If it works out I would love to.”
