James Maslow breathes life into his foxtrot with Peta Murgatroyd during Monday night’s Dancing With The Stars in Los Angeles.

Dancing to One Direction‘s “Story of My Life”, the 24-year-old floated across the floor with his pro partner, which earned him 21 points out of 30.

“That was nerve racking!” James tweeted afterwards. “Did we just do the foxtrot in front of 20 million viewers? Yeah, that happened. What did you think?!”

Peta wrote in her People blog, “The first week, his head had a kink in it, but we rectified that now. I think everyone’s going to really love our dance. Also, he has such a passion for the music industry that when the song comes on, he really gets into it. He’s not afraid to show emotion, which I love.”
