Alycia Debham-Carey Talks #Clexa Ahead of 'The 100's First Season Finale Episode Tonight

Anyone else hoping for some fantastic Clarke and Lexa scenes on tonight’s The 100 episode, like us? Cool.

Alycia Debham-Carey, who plays Lexa, spoke to Zap2It ahead of the episode and chatted about that Clexa kiss that fans want more of. Check it:

On Lexa: “I love that people are invested enough to stick it out with Lexa. The first couple episodes, she’s very cold-hearted. She’s a very young character with such authority and seeing her open up from this closed-off person — ruthless, pragmatic and logical — to see her finally open up and Clarke being such a catalyst for that, there’s an innocence and a vulnerability that is lovely to see. That’s been a really fun journey for me to play.”

On Lexa’s relationship with Clarke: “They shared very similar experiences — somewhat radically and spontaneously being called as leaders, they both lost loves. There are many things they’ve got a connection through that they don’t have with most other people.”

On her kiss with Clarke: “It makes the greatest point of all — we love people. It’s just that person, whoever that may be. [The show] doesn’t label anything, it doesn’t make a banner about it, it’s just how this world is. It isn’t a world that confines to prejudice or labels or expectations. It’s a really lovely way to show that we’ve got such a broad dynamic and variations of characters in the show, it’s really exciting.”
