Mark Ballas Was Surprised That Willow Shields Is Only 14

Mark Ballas and Willow Shields head into the dance studio for another day of rehearsal in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (March 4).

The Dancing With The Stars duo recently sat down for an interview and Mark, 28, opened up about just how young Willow actually is.

“She is only 14, which was very surprising to me,” Mark shared in the video interview. “I knew I had a young partner because I heard through the grapevine that she would be a little younger than Sadie [Robertson], and I thought that would be maybe 16. Then we met and I asked how old she was and she said 14. I was like, ‘Whoa!’”

Willow joked with him, “Literally, it looked like someone slapped your face.”
