'The Princess Diaries' 3 Might Be Happening!

The news is spreading that a third film in the popular The Princess Diaries franchise just might be happening!

Via The Tracking Board, Walt Disney Pictures is officially moving forward with the third entry in the film franchise, based off of the books of the same name by Meg Cabot.

The original film, which starred Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews, centers on unassuming teenager Mia Thermopolis who discovers that she is the heir to the Kingdom of Genovia. The sequel, A Royal Engagement, put her at the center of finding a King to rule beside her.

While details are almost non-existent, Debra Martin Chase will be returning as producer.
