Justin Bieber on One Direction's Album Release Date: 'I Think It Was Strategy on Their Part'
Justin Bieber has broken his silence about having the same album release date as One Direction amid rumors of a feud.
The 21-year-old “What Do You Mean?” singer recently sat down with a New Zealand radio station where he was asked about their upcoming record, Made in the A.M., which drops on November 13 – the same day as his new album, Purpose.
“[They're] not really going on the road much, but we’re talking about them now, so it gives them some promo, right?” Justin said. “So, that’s probably why they did it. I think it was strategy on their part because my release date was first. But, whatever. It’s whatever. It’s gonna be fun. I’m excited to see what happens.”
