Gina Rodriguez Brushes Off the Golden Globes' America Ferrera Mix-Up

Gina Rodriguez is opening up about her thoughts on being confused for America Ferrera by the Golden Globes’ official Twitter account.

The 31-year-old Jane the Virgin actress was mistakenly identified as the person announcing this morning’s nominations, when it was really America.

“I didn’t hear anything until recently someone sent me an article, but who cares?” Gina told Entertainment Tonight.

“America‘s lovely,” Gina added. “She’s so beautiful and such a fantastic actress. If there’s anybody I want to get mixed up with — it’s her for sure! To me, it’s like, whatever. We always make mix-ups in life, man.”

Both America and Gina are Golden Globe-winning actresses for their work in Ugly Betty and Jane the Virgin, respectively.
