Ariana Grande Performs With Writer of Her First Broadway Show

Ariana Grande got in touch with her Broadway roots when she gave a surprise performance at a Jason Robert Brown concert on Monday (January 4) in Hollywood.

The 22-year-old pop star made her Broadway debut in 2008 when she was cast as Charlotte in the musical 13, which Jason wrote.

Ariana performed “The Lamest Place in the World” from the musical, donning glasses to portray the character. She also opted to perform Jason’s song, “Getting Out,” which he joked he had ironically written about “being really grouchy that I wasn’t an international pop star.”

The full performance was uploaded by Ariana’s brother, Frankie. Watch below!
