OlderTori Kelly Was 'Speechless' About Her Best New Artist Grammy Nom
Tori Kelly soaks up the spotlight on stage during the 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year honoring Lionel Richie held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Saturday night (February 13) in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old “Hollow” singer joined Little Big Town, Pharrell Williams, Black Thought, Leon Bridges, Questlove, Corinne Bailey Rae, Cam, Gary Clark Jr. and The Roots for the all-star tribute on stage.
“It’s absolutely incredible!” Tori dished to Forbes recently about her Best New Artist Grammy nom. “A childhood dream of mine was to simply attend the Grammy’s, so to be nominated in such a prestigious category is a huge honor.”
She added about how she found out, “Well, it was 5 A.M. so I was in bed, and I got woken up by my publicist, who was freaking out over the phone. I was half asleep and speechless. I didn’t fully comprehend what had happened!”
