Vanessa Marano On Sister Laura's New Single 'Boombox': 'It's Fantastic & Everyone Is Going to Really Like It'

Let’s face it — we’re all pretty excited about Laura Marano‘s new single, “Boombox”.

And by pretty excited, we mean majorly excited, so when JJJ spoke to her older sister, Vanessa, recently, we had to ask her about the track and if it would be everything we never knew we wanted and more.

“Obviously, it’s amazing,” Vanessa exclusively told us. “Wait, what if I was like, ‘Guys, it’s terrible’? (laughs)”

She continued, “It’s awesome and she and her team took a long time choosing what song was going to be her single. There were three songs and I heard every single one of them, over and over, and over and over again. That one, ‘Boombox’ is fantastic; it’s so exciting and I’m so happy they chose that one. I think everyone is going to really like it.”

Vanessa added, “I’m really happy for her. Laura‘s been wanting to do music for forever. From the time that she got on Austin & Ally, she really had, not a plan, but a hope of what the show was going to do for her. I’m really excited that she got to spread her wings as a musician and as a songwriter. As someone who has no musical talent at all, it’s amazing to see my sister, who can play the piano and can sing and can write songs, to go out there and achieve her dream. I’m just going to live vicariously through her since I can’t even clap in rhythm.”

“For my sister, I might even stop listening to the Hamilton soundtrack and listen to ‘Boombox’ when it’s on the radio. I might make the exception,” she joked later on.

Laura‘s new single will be out later this spring.
