'The Fosters' EP Reflects on School Shooting
We are still reeling from last night’s intense episode of The Fosters.
Executive producer Bradley Bredeweg has shed some light on the decision to feature a school shooting and how they went about it.
“We really wanted to focus on the terror and the process, what it means to put a school on lockdown,” he told TVLine.com. “We didn’t want to necessarily focus on the shooter. We wanted to focus on our family, the Anchor Beach Charter staff and how really, truly frightening this situation can be.”
He added, “When something tragic like this happens, we tend to focus on the person behind the gun first and not the people that are affected by it. We wanted to take a different point of view during this episode.”
