Misty Copeland Joins the Cast of Disney's 'Nutcracker' Film Adaptation

Misty Copeland has joined the cast of Disney’s upcoming film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms!

The 33-year-old ballet star made the exciting announcement on her Instagram by posting a photo of the script.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this amazing project with Disney and the wonderful Lasse Hallstrom #TheNutcracker #MoreToCome,” Misty wrote.

The film will be based on E.T.A. Hoffman‘s Christmas Eve tale about a young girl who finds a Nutcracker doll with her family’s presents and is given the responsibility to take care it. At night, the Nutcracker comes to life, along with an evil Mouse King who introduce the little girl to the magical world of toys.
