The identity of Zendaya‘s character in the upcoming Marvel superhero film Spider-Man: Homecoming has been revealed!
We already knew that the 19-year-old actress would be playing the film’s female lead, but now The Wrap is reporting that she will play Mary Jane Watson.
The character was played by Kirsten Dunst in the first Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire as the title superhero.
Shailene Woodley had filmed scenes as the character for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opposite Andrew Garfield, but her role was cut from the film.
