'MECH-X4' EPs Talk Inspirations Behind New Disney Channel Series
WOOHOO! The premiere of MECH-X4 is TONIGHT!
The new show centers on Ryan Walker (Nathaniel James Potvin), a freshman at Bay City High who has technopathy – the extraordinary ability to control technology with his mind. His talent mysteriously awakens MECH-X4, a giant 120-foot robot built by an elusive genius-in-hiding to defend their town against impending doom.
“There’s a little ET, there’s a little Goonies, and we both love giant robots,” creator and executive producer Steve Marmel shares with CB about the series.
EP Anupam Nigam adds, “I love Transformers. I grew up on Omega Supreme and Godzilla. In fact there are several Godzilla movies where he fights a giant robot, and I made [Steve] watch them.”
MECH-X4 premieres TONIGHT, November 11th @ 8:30PM ET/PT on Disney Channel, with three more episodes coming over the weekend. See the full schedule on JJJ!
